Civil War genuine Coin or Flat Coat button, in non-dug relic condition for sale. This button was common on civilian clothing of the time, and often worn off to camp by the volunteer soldier. This is not a dug item, or camp find, but an excellent example of a civil war collector’s item and kept in nice shape.
This one button has a nice shank (very slightly bent) and intact. The Button back mark is: D.H. & Scoville, Waterbury (Extra Fine).
This item seems to be somewhat different than the average posted buttons on line.
The button measures: 11/16”.
